She thanked the fans of the #FreeBritney movement, who campaigned on her behalf, saying: « My voice has been muted and threatened for so long and I have not been able to speak out or say anything.
« Because of you, I honestly believe you saved my life 100 percent. »
In a lengthy Instagram post last week, she spoke about how conservatorship has affected her, writing, « I cried a lot on my own and kept all this pain to myself.
« What they did to my heart was unforgivable. »
She said her decision not to release new music was « a way of saying ‘f*** you' » to those who took advantage of her.
She added, « I asked for 13 years to play new songs and remixes of my old songs… and every time I was told, ‘No…’
