A Maryland mayor was charged Monday under the law for revenge porn for allegedly posting sexually explicit photos of his ex-girlfriend on social media.
Prosecutors said in a statement that Cambridge Mayor Andrew Bradshaw, 32, created multiple user accounts on Reddit and posted the victim’s private pictures in subreddits or groups, « those dealing with sexual activity, humiliation, humiliation, race and others related « . Issues. ”The victim reportedly contacted authorities about the pictures Bradshaw allegedly posted online between April and May this year.
Indictment documents said Bradshaw posted his ex-girlfriend’s photos on Reddit groups dedicated to race play. In the redacted report, prosecutors alleged that Bradshaw added captions containing racist nicknames. Some of the captions also reportedly included the victim’s name and birthday.
The victim also claimed the only person she shared these intimate pictures with was Bradshaw. Authorities said the IP that published the revenge porn was traced back to the mayor’s address.
Bradshaw, who took office in January, is charged with 50 cases of revenge porn distribution. He was released on his own.
